Every day, I learn to do something new with my computer. Today, I learned how to add a photo to my blog directly from Flickr.com, the photo-sharing program I like to use. Here is a picture I took of the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood in Cape Town, a place which is known for its brightly coloured houses. (These reminded me of the houses I saw in Burano, Italy, near Venice - I will try to find a photo and show you.) Bo-Kaap is a Muslim area of Cape Town, originally inhabited by the "Cape Malay" (which is a misnomer, as not all of the people are Malaysian). These were the descendents of the slaves which the Dutch brought to the Cape from India and Indonesia. Apparently now the Bo-Kaap area is becoming gentrified.
More later.
