Winter Sucks! – second draft

NOTE: I didn't really change much in terms of the order of the sentences, but I tried to add some adjectives and descriptive words to intensify the ironic/humorous aspect of the paragraph.

In Canada, we are lucky to experience the four distinct seasons: fresh spring, gentle summer, colourful autumn, and horrible winter. Most Canadians would agree that winter sucks. These are sad people who do not know how to enjoy this wonderful time of the year, which can last from the end of October to the middle of April in some parts of this vast country. Many Canadians do not relish digging out their snowbound car two or three times a week at six a.m. in - 40 degrees. As well, others are not adept in the all-Canadian sport of tire ice-spinning. Another favourite winter activity is the icy sidewalk dance. This is a particularly interesting sport to watch in a city like Montreal, which has a lot of hills, and where the street cleaners thoughtfully save the tax-payers money by economizing on the abrasive salt and sand. In order to enjoy these long, cold months, these unfortunate winter-haters will have to strap on their ice-cleats, install their winter tires, get out the snow shovels, and join the rest of us in having a great time in the Canadian outdoors for five or six miserable months each year.
